SERIS supports SEEPH and focuses on inclusion

During the European Disability Employment Week (SEEPH), SERIS once again focused on raising awareness about inclusion in the workplace. We drew attention to the theme both internally and externally through a communication campaign and informative content.

Why SEEPH is important

An estimated 87 million people with disabilities live in the European Union – almost 20% of the population. Moreover, around 80% of these disabilities are invisible, such as chronic conditions, cognitive challenges or mental health issues. Less than 5% use a wheelchair, for example.
This means that in every team, with customers or partners, you may encounter people who experience barriers that you cannot see. Clear communication, flexibility and understanding therefore make a big difference.

These invisible barriers — physical, communicative or mental barriers — fall under ableism: discrimination or exclusion based on assumptions about what someone can or cannot do. Breaking through ableism starts with yourself: by recognising barriers and actively removing them.

Benoît Pédoussaut, CEO of SERIS Group, emphasises that inclusion is not a temporary effort, but a core value: a workplace where everyone feels seen, heard and supported is essential for strong teams and sustainable growth.
