As early as 1907, the Garde Maritime Industrielle et Commerciale (GMIC) was established in the port of Antwerp, with the aim of safeguarding goods, infrastructure and people in a rapidly industrialising environment.

After the Second World War, the organisation evolved further and was transformed into VGD, an established name in guarding and security in Belgium. In 2006, VGD was integrated into the SERIS Group, combining international power with strong local roots and in-depth knowledge of the Belgian market.

Today, Seris Security Belgium builds on this historical foundation, combining over 100 years of Belgian experience with the professional standards, innovative strength and scale of an international security group.
