SERIS-Security-brand

Organisations operating in environments with heightened security risks face the possibility of CBRNe incidents. CBRNe stands for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives: five areas in which incidents can have serious consequences for people, infrastructure and the environment. To better prepare professionals for such situations, SERIS Academy is offering a new CBRNe Awareness training course.

The course, which runs for one full day, focuses on recognising, addressing and managing CBRNe risks in a safe and effective manner. Participants learn how to identify signs of potential incidents, how to use protective equipment correctly, and what steps are needed to prevent or limit contamination. The safe closure of an incident site, evacuation procedures and efficient communication with emergency services are also covered in detail.

The training is given by experts in the field who, through their profession, possess the necessary up-to-date knowledge regarding CBRNe risks and incidents and how to manage them. This knowledge enables them to equip training participants with the practical tools they need to act decisively when the situation requires it. This gives your organisation the opportunity to prepare thoroughly.

In addition to theoretical insights, the training at SERIS Academy offers realistic scenarios, case studies and simulation exercises. This practical module is fully tailored to the workplace where the professionals are based. This ensures that the knowledge gained is immediately put into practice. The day concludes with a multiple-choice exam to assess the skills acquired.

The training is aimed at anyone who may be exposed to CBRNe risks in their working environment. This includes, amongst others, staff at industrial sites, companies that process or store hazardous substances, airports, security firms, in-house security services and ambulance services.

This training enhances participants’ awareness and preparedness, enabling them to respond quickly, safely and effectively in the event of an incident. Preparation is crucial: by minimising risks, professionals can make a difference when it really matters.
